Rare Bear
By the same token he is wrong about a 50% tax bracket which very few will end up paying.I imagine that avoidance on an increased death duty threshold will be similarly commonplace. Your wrong there. The only possible outcome of all the QE and printing will be inflation. Probably part of the intended outcome as that is the normal way for governments to erode debt. It erodes saveings too of course but that doesn't matter, governments don't have saveings, only frugal individuals. So inflation reduces real government debt and with a bit of fiscal drag, I mean who ever heard of tax bands deing indexed at the real rate of inflation, more and more people pay tax at the higher rates. But instaed of these new hig rate tax payers being amongst the better off wwho can pay for good adice on taxation the middle earnesr will be even more clobbered than now. The same thing with inheratence tax. Chuck in a good dose of inflation, think the '70s, and it wont be long before it brings in a lot more. Guest sillybear2
Those comments are clearly submitted by labour party activists Yup, as soon as Brown finished his speech he and the entire front bench pressed their 'send' buttons on their Blackberry's. angrypirate
Anyone in Portsmouth fancy going round to Craig's house and twatting him? Craig doesnt actually exist. Its a character the BBC had to make up in order to make it look like there are some viewers out there who actually think Brown is any good
Guest sillybear2
You've obviously read the white paper, every middle-class family will be rewarded with a NuLabour Slag to look after? 57percent
I think that was great. I expected lies and propaganda, but nowhere near that. The Labour people looked stunned to start with and by the end looked very unhappy. They clapped. I'd expect that, but they looked like some serious meetings were about to take place. ..... I give him a week.

Guest sillybear2
labour party activists are a truly cretinous bunch. Yup, they all have a massive sense of entitlement, they're no different from their core vote of welfare careerists but in suits. Remember in a socialist state their moto is "what's yours is ours, and what's ours is ours", they see private wealth and property as a form of theft and the state has the right to take whatever it likes. Equal rewards for unequal effort. As for the Gulags for Slags, they cannot do this, it will destroy the next generation of Labour benefit spongers, which is a client vote. Also, this demographic is about the only natives that are having children. Edited September 29, 2009 by sillybear2

twatmangle
What is the point of asking a labour activist what they thought of the speech.I mean what you think they are gonna say. I remember when I was at Uni there was a Plaid Cmyru conference somewhere and I saw someone I vaguely knew in the audience. There was a close up of him. He was feverishly applauding everything that was being said, like at a Hitler Youth rally. They might as well have been reading a shopping list out on stage and it would have been the same response. The camera panned out and there were only about half a dozen people in the auditorium. I felt very smug and superior after that.
