2 days of conference to go. I guess the British public are just sick to the back teeth of this load of chancers. So they should be sub 20% by the end of thier Bournemouth angst feest.

let's hope so. so much for mandleson the master strategist. Perhaps he should accept that people are fed up of the labour vision of public spending, and might actually prefer an alternative even if it involves putting up with the dreaded C word. Also, i think people are starting to get a bit of sick of this 'we won't walk on by' moralising of the do the right thing party. sometimes failure can be a good thing. We seem to have the worst of both worlds with the housing market because of this refusal to tolerate any sort of failure, unless it involves people holding cash savings getting kicked in the nuts.

They believe they've done good for the country in the sense of moving it to a totalitarian socialist state, which is their sort-of undeclared goal. We have a large proportion of the country now dependant on the state whether that be direct employment or propping up piss-poor wages, and people who earn more than these levels get taxed to buggery, levelling the field for each person to be equal. Of course, this doesn't include the high earners and any of the key groups they need the support of to oil the wheels of power. This is the United Kingdom of Cuban Britain evolving and they are happy with it.

"Whenever and wherever there is anti-social behaviour, we will be there to fight it."

Wouldn't that make him part of the problem? ;)

Indeed, just one of the many frankly amazing examples of crazy spin and denial seen already and they have only just got started.

All this from the idiots who have spearheaded as some sort of crusade the moral and social decline of this country.......

Until Broon admits that he was partially responsible for this mess and still has fundamental problems with housing supply and cost in the UK then he may as well call it a day. He has nothing else to lose now so why not do something radical like significantly reducing the tax burden on low earners to show commitment to the working class. If they are going to curb bank bonuses then they need to apply the same principles to Property developers making a killing over short periods of time and get rid of Buy to Let altogether as its antisocial. If he has nothing to offer after his speech today then they are finished.

That's some deluded sh1t right there... Also, it sounds a bit like the intro to A-Team. Maybe in his head he is a crack commando...

They struck me as being in a little world of their own today. A world in which they actually believe they have done well for the country. Nutters.

Bunker mentality - Hitler was in his surrounded by Yes Men & Women whilst pushing little flags on a table that represented armies that no longer existed.

It comes to all Narcissists (Egoes) in the end.

Oh good. So finally they are gonna crack down on the banks then?

Labour have been banging on about anti-social behaviour for 12 years ffs. What exactly have they achieved? Sweet FA. It's the same tired old tune. Just resign with whatever dignity you can scrape together please. We have had enough.

Remember Blair's famous election warcry back in '97 - 'Tough on Crime, Tough on the Causes of Crime.' And they still have the nerve to make statements about controlling crime 12 years later.

Unless giving unemployable chavs enough in benefits to be anaesthetised by skunk 16 hours a day counts as tackling one root cause?

So what caused Baroness Scotland to offend? Can we cure greed?

The guy is pure evil and I think (hope!) that most of the electorate know this. If Mandy gets in power, gawd help each and every one of us...

Yes he is indeed. Mandy has a lot more to offer than flat Gordon....mandy could be a great trump card for labour...if they smell defeat nearer the time of the GE....mandy will put the noose round GB's neck and present himself as they way forward. I think they are preparing for this now.

Mandy for prime minister!

I think with Mandy in charge, they would suffer an even bigger defeat than under Brown.
