Q2 business investment falls

LONDON (Reuters) - Business investment fell 10.2 percent between April and June compared with the previous three months, revised official data showed on Friday.

That was a slight upward revision from the 10.4 percent fall originally reported in August.

The Office for National Statistics said investment was down 21.8 percent compared with the same period a year ago, a downward revision from an originally reported 18.4 percent decline.

Business investment in the second quarter of this year totalled 29.278 billion pounds.

And the EAs think the housing market is going to recover when the recession is just starting to go into an even deeper slide? Green shots are years and years way. I bet Brown will have to admit very soon that no recovery is in sight or he will look a proper nana on the world stage.

They're all at the denial game though right? Zapatero in Spain claiming they're best placed to recover etc. etc.

That's what the G20 seems to be about; "Look guys we all need to print, Zirp, lie and deny AT THE SAME TIME so the proles get fooled. It's our only hope. Us big boys will start a war if you don't agree."

I thought we already had?

Look at it like this - if you fall off a cliff, every time you hit a rock on the way down you slow down a bit, so you can claim to be in recovery from your fall.
