2nd Floor Bedroom With No Door

Recommended Posts

I looked round an old house for rent that has a second floor "bedroom" but there is no door between the space and the ground floor.

Full details here on the renting sub-forum

Can they really call it a bedroom? Any opinions gratefully received. Either here or on the renting pages.

It's still a bedroom, and most bedrooms don't have easy escape access in event of a fire. If they did they'de be easy to break into. You can buy a roll-up escape ladder you can keep under the bed for £50.

Thanks Sarah

You mean a door shutting it off from the rest of the property?

Exactly - there's no door on the bedroom

Like an open plan bedroom?

I wouldn't class it as a bedroom.

Neither would I
