If you mean Wilmslow Road through Rusholme, there's already signs up to say the road is closed on the evenings of 19th, 20th and 21st.

Yuk.

When i was at university i lived just at the top of oxford road, almost where it becomes wilmslow road... Our block of flats used to have a policeman stationed on the door for the period. Saw many, many incidences of violence.

When I was often in London and the West End; used to amuse me to watch Arabs in their flowing robes fighting each other to get through local supermarket checkouts with their trolleys stuffed to the rim with bottles of booze: and get home before Ramadan started..........
