Savingforashed For Hpc Spokesperson

Recommended Posts

Been out all day so sorry if already posted.

The Buzz: Newsnight's Aftershock Special.

ARCHBISHOP ON SIN AND THE CITY

It is just over a year since the collapse of US investment bank Lehman Brothers, which is considered by experts to have marked the beginning of our global recession.

To mark the anniversary Newsnight broadcast an Aftershock Special, which explored how the economic crash changed the world.

There was lots of chatter on message boards about the programme.

Posters on the House Price Crash Forum debated throughout the programme. SavingForAShed's comment was one of my favourites: "A surprisingly good and interesting discussion. I'm still in shock."

Hpc Spokesperson? Poison chalice. Just ask the previous guy.

Yep, for external communications they'll be given the title 'HPC spokesman/person' depending on how PC the media outlet is. For internal communications they'll be give the title 'ego-driven, power-crazed, attention-seekerperson'.

This was my unusually restrained post on that thread, as it was broadcast, that, astonishingly, the BBC seemed to overlook when selecting a quote about the programme:

I see the Archbishop of Canterbury has now pitched up to join this rather rudderless episode of ideological navel-gazing.
