Grand Torino.

Not actually seen it, but it sounds like top class HPC material.

The DVD of the War Games as well is darned good - Patrick Troughton's last Doctor Who story when he gets exiled to earth and becomes Jon Pertwee.

Spanish 'mystery' film The Orphanage. A gripping suspense, warm, touching, scarey and intelligent.

French WWI mystery 'A Very Long Engagement'. Superb cast, great complex story and a film bursting with richness. Faultless.

Have a butchers at Taxidermia..its a very strange film. Saw The Edukators on Film4 last night. It was pretty good, as is Das Experiment. I'm also looking to get Bad Boy Bubby, buts ruddy expensive wherever I look. Bugger.

I'm preferring films of a foreign twist at the moment.

Ah Zagreb, a man after my own heart. I saw Taxidermia a few weeks back; very bizarre ending but great film. haven't seen The Edukators yet. Das Experiment is probably the best out of them. If you like twisted World Cinema i'd strongly reccomend Tzameti (13) - a clinical and disturbing insight into Russian Roulette (forget Deer Hunter). Also, last night watched the Swedish film Let The Right One In, a slow-paced vampire love story. Of course who can forget the Japanese - Battle Royale, Audition & Host.

Yes, I watched Pretentious B0ll0x IV last night. It was good but not as good as Pretentious B0ll0x III. Which in turn was also good but not as good as Pretentious B0ll0x II. I do recommend Pretentious B0ll0x I an all time classic. If you haven't seen the Pretentious B0ll0x series you can get the dvd box sets from play.com. Directors cut and unseen footage with the original intended never seen before ending box set too.

Disappointed that The Fast and The Furious didn't get a mention?

Some people actually want to watch half decent films, and not the mainstream hollwood shite thats force fed to us...I had the misfortune to watch Con Air the other night. It has possibly some of the worst dialogue I've ever come across in a film, with totally inappropriate guitar solos all over the place. I thought Steve Buscemi was better than that..

I have, and I did get the urge..It goes on for what feels like 2 and half days. I have friends in their early 30's who went to go and see the first (new) Transformers film, and they were ejaculating about how brilliant it was. I did contemplate disowning them. I remember seeing Titanic twice in the cinema cos one of my friends loved seeing it the first time. I nearly installed a set of portable gallows in the cinema to hasten the death.

? shite? yes, but watchable? this film is from the late 90s, this is Cage moving from actor to overblown "performer"? You need to see something like "Gamer" to see how bad it has become. "Trees Lounge" is a great Buscemi film.

Yep!

Some great lines in that one and great performance by Colin Farrell.

Plus it's one of the only DVD's that this prostitute gave me that actually works. Well it's the thought that counts.

Only 1980's Jackie Chan films available up here. Badly dubbed . . . in Thai.
