House Price Crash Forum

How Long Will This Forum Carry On For?

Recommended Posts

Just as the title. His view is that the crash has already happened, so why should the forum carry on?

What is the correct answer?

Until the Brown-Outs finally coalesce into Lights-Out for Blighty.

Tell him to save up for a generator, or some batteries and a windmill.

If he can manage that by, ooh, 2015, give-or-take, on the pocket-money you dish out.

Houses will be really, really cheap though :D

And as cold as f uck.

It will last until we get the crash.

It's coming, in real or nominal terms prices will normalise. In a world without gordon and his ilk prices would fall in real terms. While it is in the short term interests of politicians wealth will be stolen by tax, by borrowing against our future slavery or by printing.

However there is a finite limit to the capacity of the nation to absorb this theft. Even when heavily disguised, we will reach it, the questions are how and when not if.

The crash is still in progress. World governments have merely halted proceeding temporarily. I expect full world financial system meltdown before 2011.

People need more patience.

The site was here for, what, 4 years or so before the crash - so, assuming the property market has now turned the corner, I guess anothe 4 years at least.

But........has anyone sensed the mood has changed in the last few days - more talk about the recovery not being sustained?

I've been thinking that for the last week too; the MSM bear has woken from its silly season hibernation and is beginning to stretch its muscles in preparation for a bleak autumn/winter methinks... Even Gordo's using the c-word now.

"Return to normal" was fun while it lasted. Buckle up for denial and fear...

In the words of Pvt Hudson: "We're on an express elevator to hell... going down!"
