Nothing to do with having to live in London then?

Everybody is mentally ill - just in different ways and in varying degrees that's all.

Look, who gives a s**t if half of London are mentally ill due to debt?

The fact is, house prices are rising and somebody is making a FAT PROFIT!

That's all that matters...

Time to cut London adrift?

Scotland was good for oil, Wales for Coal, London for the city, now we should dispose of them. For those of us who live in the South east/west, Midlands and Anglia it could work out quite well. The central resevation of the M25 could be replaced with a 100 high wall, and london turned into a containment zone like manhattan in Escape from New York.

There's mileage in this. Would make the 2012 olympics a little more Mad Max than many foreign athletes are expecting, but there's nothing like a little adrenaline to break a few world records.

I'll start digging now - only 5 miles to go. ;)

Having lived in London the more likely the explanation is that the mentally ill gravitate to London to live. Some of them even put their mental illness to good use and become high flying business people, artists, politicians or successful criminals.
