"The cost of living fell again from 1.8% to 1.6%".

What can you do with misinformation like this...

It's good. We should encourage more of it.

Somewhere out there someone has just gone "but that.. that's ********" and then they question well, if that's ********, what else is ********? Then they realise it's ALL ********.

And another citizen will have taken the red pill, whether they like it or not.

Real inflation's been running at more like 10% a year, factoring in energy costs. Or, if you're in Lambeth, 175% a year on parking permits alone.

It's funny how they never actually identify WHAT exactly is cheaper.

It's certainly not anything I buy.

That's the point. They're not saying it is cheaper, just the price increase has slowed down.

Old Speckled Hen in Sainsbiry's has dropped from £5.62 for 4 to £4.

Only on offer though

Put the BBC license fee up from £139.50 to £142.50. Isn't deflation fantastic.

No. The BBC clearly said the cost of living has fallen, and referred to the CPI figures.

Sue them!

There seems to be a growing number of posters on this site who think otherwise. I have noticed many people recently stating that any anti BBC thoughts are just nonsense. Apparently they are not biased in any way shape or form.

I watch a lot of BBC. Not because it is useful for it's content, but useful to know what people are supposed to think.

I have no doubt from watching the BBC over a few years that, on certain subjects, it is bias in the extreme.

They might check to see if I have a TV license then. Can you do it for me?

Provided they keep making Doctor Who I'll leave them alone. ;)
