It's going to cost the average person far more than 4 pounds extra to get to some out of the way airport like Bournemouth instead of a rail connected one like Stansted. tim Well it certainly isn't cheap to get to Heathrow unless you make an afternoon of it on the Underground or local buses. There is no avoiding the fact that aviation is inherently expensive, the capital costs involved are huge. Imagine low cost space travel!
