Scrapbook

Superb Extension for research/info gather that will download one page (for future reference) or a whole website with all pages/java/links/mp3's/jpegs/PDF's etc if you want it to!

My most useful FFox add-on!

FoxyProxy

Sets up Proxy connections - easy to use

New Tab Homepage

Does ONE thing > you can choose what default page loads when you choose a "NEW TAB"

eg click my tab button - always starts up Google Search homepage.

(Lazy, but I can't be bothered to set new tab homepage the manual way within Ffox! It seems to get 'reset' when you download a newer version of FFox anyway!)

Right click on the Ffox menu bar and in "customise" you will find various buttons to add to the visible menu!

NoScript

Far more powerful than Adblocker.

Takes about 1 month to keep adding blocks on stuff as you visit your usual websites!

Then you can just forget about it and it does everything for you in the background, adding occasional new blocks every now and then when you visit new sites!

NoScript is also frequently 'updated' (at least once every 4-6 weeks) by it's programmer!

FEBE

An auto-backup prog for ALL your Firefox settings, Addons/Extensions/'Scrapbook' downloads etc

i won't bore you with the rest

Perapera-kun and Chinese pera-kun are immensely useful for Japanese and Chinese learners. Switch them on, go to Japanese/Chinese website, place cursor over unknown word et voila, pronunciation and definition! Saves vast amounts of time. If anyone knows of similiar add ons for European languages I would be extremely grateful. The ones I have found so far are shite.

Fox Clocks - adds multiple region clocks to the bottom of all Firefox windows

Flashblock - remove annoying flash images.

Quickproxy - turn proxies on an off from the status bar

All-in-one sidebar - seriously that is a MUST, go get it right now!

Gmail manager works well especially if you have more than one account, takes one click to check all others without opening a new window

Resurrect pages is quite useful if a page has gone off line though many sites don't seem to have been archived anyway.

other than that as mentioned -

No script

propertybee

english dictionary

googlebar lite

print pdf

abduction (save page as image)

adblock plus (for avoiding the crutch of hoffman)
