Btl Auction Sell Off

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this has been posted before. The last 80 lots look like a massive BTL sell off and no reserve!

Any guesses as to whom they belong to?

Hi GBDamo,

They're Ground Rent investments - Unlikely to be a BTL portfolio but probably all from the same peron / company as you say. Possibly a receiver or liquidator selling?

An interesting investment - Receive the ground rent as income and then ultimately receive the flat / house when the lease expires ( Or receive a premium to extend the lease )

If these can be bought on a decent yield then they're very tempting as an income today with some protection against inflation in the case of rising ground rent and some sort of long term inflation hedge for the capital in terms of the reversionary interest.

All depends on the price paid of course .....
