Only stupid people who don’t consider the costs say yeh go ahead screw us I don’t care.

That's the picture of the society AD 2009 (as long as they don't take away the football).

And we will be screwed even more because the society simply doesn't care (thanks to accessible and cheap entertainment):

Is it worth doubling, tripling, or more, the price of energy so it is “sustainable?

Most people would say no out of necessity. They cannot afford to pay another £3-4-5k per year for energy. Most of the remainder would not want to pay even if they can. Only stupid people who don’t consider the costs say yeh go ahead screw us I don’t care.

Using the latest renewable technologies would generate electricty at the same cost as fossil fuels today. Going forward in years to come, who can say how high fossil fuels will go? However if you have your own renewable sorces, these price fluctuations in fossil fuels would make no difference.

Renewable are not competitive today, who told you that lie?

In the future maybe but not today. That means don’t invest today bar a little bit to keep them improving.

Top German scientists in onslaught on global warming fraud! Around the world, the truth is slowly leaking out, despite big media's shameful conspiracy to conceal it.

That website is a very dubious source of scientific data, given that it's run by religious fundementalists (xtian evangelicals in this case by the look of it).

On their home page are links to such hot button topics (for them) as 'Tables of Truth: Roman Catholic Church versus the Bible, Table of Truth II - Islam versus the Bible

14/08/2009 - Jihad in Chicago' etc. etc.

I'll stick with science websites for science info, thanks.

the “maybe beyond human existence†is funny.

Man lived in the north pole and in earths deserts for thousands of years before anyone ever even seen oil yet you think a degree or two increase over hundreds of years might wipe us all out.

This is the BS I cannot stand with your **********

Don't fook with the climate. The increase from CO2 is going to be larger than you think, and if it sets off the release of methane clathrates, the rise could be 10 degrees which would make Earth uninhabitable for much of life existing today.

Well it is not a lie. New Zealand has some of the lowest electricity prices in the developed world because it generates around 60% of its electricity from renewable sources. Wind power costs between 3 and 5p / kwh these days. This is competitive with fossil fuels.
