Daily Mail Full Page Advert For Gold Coins!

Reading the advert it tries to make you seem like they are doing you a favour here! how ever the coins are $5 gold eagles and i understand that these weigh 1/10th of an ounce.Ten of these will cost you £740 pounds :o +p/p and insurance.God knows what that is% over spot.

They did indeed look pricey.

Where do you find spot for sovereigns? I very nearly bought some off the Royal Mint before I read a comment here about them being 40% above spot price.

Try these, i think their prices seem ok,maybe others will point you to other sites but this is where i send my scrap gold to.

Thanks Mr G, that's the sort of thing I was after.

Frank, to work out the actual gold content value of your coin try this-

x the spot price of gold per ounze (approx £600) with the gold content weight of the coin (0.235 grms)

so 660x0.235=£141

however the price of the coin will of course be higher than this.
