LONDON (Reuters) - Sterling fell on Tuesday, wiping out early gains and approaching a near three-month low versus the euro after a surprisingly weak reading of manufacturing cast doubt on the economy's recovery prospects.

The green shoots brigade are taking a battering today from Reuters! One bad-news story after the other. September could be quite a good month for those wishing to see house prices bear a sensible relationship to earnings.
