I've always admired people who stick to their principles.

They do have their skin in the game.

Protester James Clarke said: "RBS is 70%-owned by the public but it is completely against the public interest for our money to be used to fund climate change. Yet again, the banks are putting profit over people."

I blame the education system, or maybe the industrial revolution - the idiots left the villages and became "climate protestors".

Climate campaigners targeted the head office of a leading bank today in the latest protest by activists attending a climate camp.

Dressed as construction workers, they used stepladders, locks and superglue to form a blockade at the RBS building in the City of London.

They unfurled banners which read "RBS: under new ownership" and "Ethical renovation in progress".

Nothing to see here, move along..... oh they can't.

Edit : Bah! too slow. :(

RBS Head Office is in Edinburgh. Google can you inform you of this in about 0.003 seconds. The churnalism these days really is very poor.

Just leave the scum stuck there.

If there's one group worse than bankers in this country it is the idiotic, stinking, unemployed scummers that go round looking for the next bandwagon to jump on, this time it is global warming which hasn't even been occuring for over a decade.

Got in as workmen apparently. Protesters are naked according to Sky. Also they are gluing themselves to things at Eon's PR company.

Especially seeing as many of them drive around in nice cars paid for by daddy. Who no doubt works in the very banks these people allegedally despise.

I have no problem with real protestors. The ones who actually live in some wee camp. Grow their own food. Cycle everywhere, do not fly etc..

These people I have respect for. At least they are living the way in which they preach. It is the faux protestors that really need to grow up.

Personally I approve. What, after all, are the rest of us doing to highlight the hollowness of the Government's green credentials? Instead we unashamedly gobble up taxpayers money, happily supporting mindless initiaives like "scrappage", sold to the wider public as "green". We allow others to justify QE as necessary, when its sole purpose is the engineering of increased consumption (the measure we allow those in power to measure their success against). At least these people are willing to devote a little time to exposing this sham government and its sham policies.

Now could have been a time for a grown-up debate about the kind of world peopel really want. Instead expect exponential landfilling, serviced by an increase in unrewarding labour. And for what? To make the top 0.1% feel like kings. The rest of us have to be happy with bolstering our collections of off-the-shelf tat. Wow.
