It amuses me that the Bankstas that caused this crisis received scant criticism in comparison to the many hundreds of thousands now unemployed as a direct result of their actions. People who have ben in employment for years and paying their taxes are suddenly labelled as scroungers. Meanwhile the meeja is already back to fawning over the banking industry and its workers.

I've been hearing similar crap about "scroungers" for years, but it seems to be intensifying with this recession. Jobs have been lost faster than they are being replaced. Even if the government's claim of 660,000 job vacancies is correct, that still leaves 1.9 million people on the dole...that isn't counting that many of those jobs are part-time, and\or minimum wage which will be eligible for top-ups with welfare. Isn't it a common argument on this site that house prices (for example) rose well above the magical 3x income multiplier? If our money is being devalued in that way then why is it a crime to increase wages to counteract this? If nobody can afford the flashy products that these toffs sell they'll screw themselves over eventually...

Joe Public = sheeple

Scroungers = scapegoats

Media = sycophants

Bank chiefs = sociopaths

There is a symbiotic relationship between these groups of people.
