A Few Acres In Quebec

Recommended Posts

I've been offered, for about £2k, a 5.32 acre plot 8 miles from La Morandière and 29 miles from Amos. Apparently the land tax is about $50pa. It would just be a small investment for me - I have no plans to actually use the land. Does it sound like a reasonable price? Anything to watch out for?

Have a look using google earth. It really is in the middle of nowhere. A good 8 hour drive to Montreal.

If you want to build there, have a serious look at costs.... it won't be cheap lugging men and materials out there!

However, if you want to live in a tent..... but then I'm sure you could do that anyway, without paying a penny, and nobody would notice....
