Q2 Gdp Revision

Recommended Posts

-0.7%QOQ, -5.5% YOY. Both revised upwards by 0.1%

I'm surprised they didn't revise the QoQ up .9% and claim we were out of recession like the rest of Europe. And there was me thinking we were best placed for recovery when in reality we weren't. ********.

If our GDP was reported in Aussie Dollars, Canadian Dollars of the Japanese Yen, we would be off more than 30%. It amazes me that the government can always create positive GDP by debasing the currency. The headline number is all smoke and mirrors.

Clearly the situation isn't as bad as we thought.

The recovery is here and it's all funded by debt expansion.

its still down.

It's up just 0.1% better than consensus yet it's still down -5.5% and FTSE goes up another 1%. We're scraping along the bottom but how long for?

Anybody?
