The Coming Uprising Against The Investment Banks

Recommended Posts

I don't think this has been posted here yet:

Michael Lewis - there's going to be an uprising against Wall Street

It's long, so I recommend you listen to the last 27 minutes (or at least the last 15), unless you are a recent father or writer, then by all means listen to it all.

Statements of the blinding obvious to any regular here, but useful Op Ed to give to others less convinced than you about what's going on.

Time frame: 2 years or so, the next thing Obama will address after health care reform.

Yes, superb.

This needs to now become a proper and directed approach and yes the way to do that is to co-opt the President.

We understand Mr President why you couldn't have taken this action at the time, but now is the right time to act.

Obama has no real power. If he was to go all libertarian on the US state, he would be dead.

He's just there as a well spoken, handsome and youthful figurehead to appease the growing 'muddle' class of hispanic, black, and other non-white Americans.

All his presidency has done, like with most living memory Democratic presidents, is rile the right wing and mobilize the hate oriented militias. The republicans knew there was no chance in hell of regaining power after Bush and co, and that is exactly why they put the McCain/Palin card in play. After a term of Obama, the US is going straight back to right wing hard core conservative Republican governance.

He's just a new age 'uncle Tom'.

Without wanting to pick sides or spark anything, I've got the thought in my head (ready to be corrected as needs be!) that the Clinton presidency did well with the economy.
