Amazing What A Govt Will Spend When An Election Is Near

Recommended Posts

"recovery" - any price ... election ... nuff said

Yes, I knew that once the French and German 'recovery' figures had come out we'd get the same here. Labour simply couldn't afford to lose out especially after all the 'well placed to weather the storm' stuff of last year.

I don't know if anyone else on here remembers, but I lived in the time of a hung or near hung parliment. The winning party could hold power for eighteen months then had to call another election. It was great they were falling over themselve trying to please everyone.

Yes folks, it's amazing what they do when they are determined to stay in No10.

Want your HPC postponed for another x period, you gotit. Want millions for your cars? You gotit. Want pay rises in the p/s? You gotit.

As they say at BK, you gotit.

All gonna go quite horribly wrong later on? You gotit. Probably. Or on the other hand, how about this superb studio flat in the Hanger Lane for £700,000 with a 52 year lease? Bargain ;)
