Iron boom, gas boom. Blimey, I wish I was in Oz!

I heard Chinese growth is ending now the stimulus is spent.

Im sure the Chinese will continue to import all the stuff they dont need just to keep Australia going.

It cannot be denied that is is a very big deal. Whether there is a stimulus or not, commodities like LNG are going to be in demand by a country the size of China.

China swapping their unwanted savings (in purposely trashed currencies) for tangible stuff.

Exxon assets this week, Emerald Energy last week or the week before.

Gas and oil for trash.

Im sure it was expected, the investment made and the market researched.

or did they just invest and hope...

I dont think so...this involves real money.

Rumour is that SWell want a bigger slice if not all of Arrow energy watch this space

LNG liquid gold if you ask me, its about to go big in the eastern states as well, an extra 50,000 jobs alone in the eastern states.

And as for houses in gas field areas thay are already satrting going up as much as 100% in Tara in the last yaer and the cahsflows are to die for.

What recession.........

The resource companies look to be the new uber companies of the anglo-saxon world. Japan-France-Germany and co out manufacture us at the high end... our banks are beaten badly and will take years to come back.

But Canada and Australia have huge amounts of untapped resources.. America is under-rated for just how much natural resources it has and can produce.. and a lot of the company management and capital is coming out of the UK.

It's a good thing they can afford to modify their burrows now, or the big fellers wouldn't have anywhere to live.

I've got 2 friends waiting to emigrate to Oz, but can't... no jobs out there for them!!

To be fair it's not all sunshine and roses here. Western Australian and Queensland, the resource states, are doing nicely at the moment and contribute bucket loads of royalty income to the Federal Government coffers; other states, especially New South Wales are financially buggered.

Having said that, I'm glad I live in Perth - WA has reaped the benefits and it looks like the gravy train has a bit longer to run.
