Odd Results On Houseprices.co.uk

Recommended Posts

I've been trawling RightMove recently looking for a new place to rent but also taking an interest in the prices of certain flats. Something odd is showing up for a development called 'Valley Mill'. Previous results show these appartments going for 160+ but recently they have been showing up at 80+, here are some examples:

26/03/2009 £98,000 Flat L No Map Apartment 8, Valley Mill, Park Road, Elland, West Yorkshire, HX5 9GY

21/12/2007 £191,960 Flat L Yes Map Apartment 8, Valley Mill, Park Road, Elland, West Yorkshire, HX5 9GY

23/03/2009 £83,000 Flat L No Map Apartment 13, Valley Mill, Park Road, Elland, West Yorkshire, HX5 9GY

14/12/2007 £211,960 Flat L Yes Map Apartment 13, Valley Mill, Park Road, Elland, West Yorkshire, HX5 9GY

15/01/2009 £91,000 Flat L No Map Apartment 513, Valley Mill, Park Road, Elland, West Yorkshire, HX5 9GZ

14/12/2007 £208,760 Flat L Yes Map Apartment 513, Valley Mill, Park Road, Elland, West Yorkshire, HX5 9GZ

28/01/2009 £81,311 Flat L Yes Map Apartment 24, Valley Mill, Park Road, Elland, West Yorkshire, HX5 9GY

Are these genuine sales? Repos? Developer upto some dodgy buy x% now buy x& later? Whats going on? As you can see the last one is tagged as New where are the others are being resold.

Shared Equity?

Hmm interesting how the sales are on the same day, the builders could have bought them themselves as an investment/way to inject capital into the project, and sold them onto a family member/holiding company at a knocked down price?

Or it could be a bankrupcy/repo
