More Govt Cuts Via The Backdoor

Recommended Posts

More interference from the state. No more independant living, you must accept the council spies/carers into your house and keep the jobs going.

What I want to know is when we will get council snoops ensuring people don't get into too much debt, and then issue fines and take money off the feckless.

There seems to be a degree of naiveity here.....

Do people who claim DLA actually use it for the purpose it is designed?? Do you really believe DLA is consistently used for independent living?

I actually know people who service debt using DLA.

There are too many people who have a slanted preconception that Social Services is a huge public spending machine.

Its Benefits which disable people, keeping them in the benefits trap, and often reinforcing a disability.

Can you really give credence to the sentence "accept carers into your home and keep the jobs going" which was made in this forum?

I cant even find a reference point to reply to that sentence. And wouldnt know where to stop once I started.

Ask yourself these-

Would you want carers?

Would you be able to cope emotionally and physically carrying out personal care for your parents?

Do people actually want independence under labour?

"In 1951, there were 300 people aged 100 and over. By the year 2031, it is estimated that this figure could boom to 36,000......there will be fewer young people supporting a growing elderly population".

Do you honestly believe we have the funding to quote "accept carers into your home and keep the jobs going"??

Quite, I feel sorry for the genuinely disabled people, sadly they are collateral damage in a system that has been infested with chancers and spongers. Frank Field tried reform the benefits system in 1997 and was sacked for his troubles because Labour were so worried about losing their client vote, this time around reform is a necessity because the cupboards are bare, Labour has blown its wad on their banker friends and now everyone must pay the price.

Bailing out parasites in the City will mean throwing the parasitic welfare state overboard. It's either banks or butter, you can't have both.

Dude I wasn't being that serious. What I meant to convey was that I thought this is another way to increase people's dependence on state workers, you know like socialism Cuba-style. My mate gets DLA and can choose which services he gets and from who. This new way will remove his choice.

And I work in healthcare so I know what you mean all too well. Fear not.

I don't understand mobility allowance.

I know someone with a bad hand so they give her a car for free.

Insane really.

And she can drive ok, no modifitcations so what's that all about?

It's state backed lease hire for car manufacturers.

36,000? I doubt it.
