houses - example the bermuda 1700 square foot

http://www.buy-florida-villas.co.uk/regal-...uda-orlando.htm

originally $389k

got an email there - slashed to $119k = 71k

im pretty sure if your on the ground the drops are far more substancial

resales from $75k

http://www.floridarmr.com/component/option...,171/Itemid,23/

and even less

http://www.floridarmr.com/content/view/11/

Blimey!

this email has got me web searching last few hours

im seeing bank foreclosed 1500 sq ft 3 bed townhouses in gated resorts in kissimee as low as $60k that were originally marketed at $360k

im imagining property taxes are high tho (altho this is a reason banks arent interested in holding on to the houses too i guess)

That is madness. I mean how anyone can think that this sort of asset value destruction will lead to a V-shaped recovery when the economy was based on the consumer who were financed by in large by HELOC's without more dislocations and problems is a real optimist. I mean these prices are in line with places like Cambodia in some ways...
