Frank Hovis
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/artic...arage-hand.html The story is nominally a "hilarious" photo shoot about an overweight DJ who has to exit his car by the boot because the garage is too small. But hold on a minute. He earns £440k a year and cannot buy a house in central London with a normal sized garage. Big reset coming for London - you betcha. The article says he's 14 stone - and the rest... If he slimmed down he might not need a rangerover to get around in!
@contradevian
Wow, theres a face for radio, never knew what he looked like. And thats not even a new Range rover, the neighbours wont be impressed, think about property values, yada yada yada. He is never 14 stone. More like 18! He's porked up a bit since he did a bit of telly during his Radio 1 days. He needs a push bike, not a farm implement. Frank Hovis
He could well be 14 stone, I don't think he's very tall. That old Range Rover is not really that wide though, he couldn't even fit a new one in.

Perhaps he could cut it in half, take out the passenger side, and then re-weld it.

@contradevian
Now admit it, you're trying to provoke a reaction with that comment aren't you ... Well I'm a copper and earned over £100k last year with overtime payments. Made a few quid during G20 protests too, and my kettling skills are much improved! Dave Spart
dee hell! I was sure I saw Steve Wright in Colchester about 8 years ago (we lived next door to a commercial radio station at the time) and he looked like his old 1980's self. Woa! What 8 years can do! Mind you take a look at Tim Spall. Edited August 8, 2009 by Dave Spart

Neil D Possitt
He earns £440k a year and cannot buy a house in central London with a normal sized garage.Big reset coming for London - you betcha. Steve Wright was always a proponent of renting, and quite often said he thought British people's obsession with owning their home was odd. This tends to suggest he's gone to the trouble of renting somewhere with a garage that's far too small, which is even more strange.

Take Me Back To London!
Park it on the drive like most people do or buy a smarter car. He is obviously not very smart. If he is going to enter/exit a car by the tailgate, for Christ sake he should atleast remove the parcel shelf and fold down the rear seat back. kagiso
cobbles at the front ? garage onto the street ..might be one of those mews houses (chelsea?) £1.5m plus ? ..dunno. Thing is though, 'mews' just means converted stables. £1.5 million for where they used to keep the horses and carriage. The 'garage' is a garage for somebody who lives in a garage. bear-curious
One answer to his garage and weight problems - walk. Alternatively, reverse half way in, get out of side door and push the rest back in. More for the upper body strength, that one. Always assuming the garage's not on a slope.
