Peter holds his ground, but like somebody said on the site, he's getting a good lesson in the reality of American politics and journalism; it's rigged and corrupt, and full of moron, bullying pundits. Bloo Loo Posted August 7, 2009 Share Posted August 7, 2009 the question the dick was asking was "How would you vote now" well, as a reformist, clearly Schiff had no say in the current proposal so he may well disagree with the thing in its entirety. course, the dick saw that as a NO vote and wondered how that would go down with voters. its an old trick based on hypotheticals and Schiff needs to learn how to handle it. Facts dont interest journalists....making a headline and if a prospect with even a modicum of a sensible can be ridiculed to earn that headline, and some more fame, then that is a price worth paying. I see no conspiracy, just a conflict of self interests. course, 99% of voters wont get to see schiff to hear his views, but they will see the "Schiff opposes Medical Bill" headlines. such is the way of the world. its not what you do, its what you are SEEN to be doing. Have to say though, have a friend who travels the world buying nick-nacks (tat) to sell to people at festivals etc and he's a cross between a hippy (even though he hates them) and a businessman. Every time he arrives home (UK) he says he breathes a sigh of relief. Says most other parts of the world runs on bureaucracy and corruption to a massive degree. India? Yeah it's great and all that as long as you can handle seeing a corpse lying on the street after an accident for hours if not days before someone goes to look/help.
