£2.5bn wiped off housing market

More than £2 billion was wiped off the Scottish housing market in a year.

The value of total sales was about £2.3 billion between April and June - a 51.2% drop from £4.8 billion over the same period last year.

Registers of Scotland, which includes all residential sales, also disclosed a 47.8% decrease in the number of houses sold.

Sounds like a dying industry. Back to your hovels and lords....
