The Eu Strikes Again

Recommended Posts

I'm starting to wonder if it is actually all accidental after all?

The EU consistently comes up with ideas that don't match the Anglo Saxon way of life (USA/Canada/Aus/UK) and we all leap to the idea that it is all some conspiracy to harm the UK economy.

Having lived in Austria for 2 years I now wonder if it is simply that the continental Europeans see life differently and so make EU laws/directives to suit their circumstances, not realising the negative impact on the UK's way of doing business?

Legal & General report on possible adverse impact.

We constantly see this - we use adversarial law, the continentals use inquisatorial. We save for private pensions, they provide more through the state. We encourage private saving - they tax it heavily.

That's because they have different ideals.

I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

Secular religion has shaped views differently on continental Europe.
