Consumer confidence edges up in July

LONDON (Reuters) - Consumer confidence edged up in July, driven in part by expectations of higher house prices and an end to the economic downturn, the Nationwide Building Society said in its monthly survey Wednesday.

What is good for house prices is good for Britain. We are a nation of houseprices and a world leader in the export of HPI.
