Jobs Again

Recommended Posts

Very sensible, move jobs and production back to a country that has a future, not one that has wedded itself to high costs, banker bailouts and bankruptcy.

Workers wait for official announcement over job losses

8:34am Wednesday 5th August 2009

BOSSES at Over Hulton-based Exide Technologies are due to confirm today that the battery factory is closing with the loss of 420 jobs.

An announcement had been expected yesterday. Now union leaders say a representative from the firm’s German operation is to fly to the UK to make the announcement.

The 90-day consultation period on the proposal to shut the Salford Road firm expired yesterday.

As reported in yesterday’s Bolton News, workers’ representatives said they have been told the plant is to close in six weeks with the majority of staff leaving on August 28. They claim production is being moved to Germany.

HPI killed the world's 8th largest economy: California.

It will kill us for the same reasons.

Gordon's extraordinary efforts to get HPI on track again will destroy jobs and create more debt while it sucks investment out of the economy into unproductive "bricks and mortar."

The chances of the media seeing HPI in anything but a good light is nil. Our success as a nation now depends on the direction of HPI. Brown must get the debt levels rising again at all costs and to do this he must create the idea that HPI is positive and will never reverse itself again.

Pretty much the case. It`s sad that this produces very little and has been reduced to nothing more than a nation of home-owners!
