Halifax Figures Due Tomorrow 6am

Recommended Posts

I reckon up but only slightly.......... mind you even though the all the signals are that there has been if anything upwards pressure recently... such is the very unstable nature of the results based on extremely small sample sizes that I wouldn't discount a fall.... I won't be getting excited about the numbers either way... other than of course to re-itterate to those who still don't get it that around the edges these numbers are largely meaningless...

Moved back because either:

negative hpi - so the Lloyds report smothers it

Or

positive hpi - to take the edge of the the awful Lloyds results

LOL

I'd go with HBOS figures awful, therefore spin them with some modest HPI. +1% at a guess.

+3000000%

It makes bugger all difference what they are.

Houses are still over-priced and will fall a long way.

You do have an interesting point with the convenient scheduling though....

Can I be in the gang now?

And yet an other insightful post from the resident "property expert".

Seeing as I hold some Lloyds shares, and they've finally only just made it into profit, I hope it's a double whammy of positive spin to boost the share price. More likely it's an attempt to bury as much bad news as possible in one morning and hope the shares don't drop too much.

I suspect it will be positive spin to try to counter bad news from Lloyds.

The kids who have to ask 'Can I be in the gang now?' are never in the gang.

We could let you in, but would just steal your money to buy extra sweets and then leave you upside down in a bin.
