Andrew Marr Show - Brilliant

Recommended Posts

Sir Mike Jackson was on. His phone kept on going off. Flanders was telling him off for breaking the rules. He eventually got p1ssed off and just turned to the camera and launched it out of the studio. He then apologised at the end of the interview like a wee boy in School. Genius. This sort of stuff is worth paying the licence fee for. More please BBC.

On another note - also a wee bit worrying. The ex head of our Army doesn't know how to switch his own phone off...........

has he not tried Power Supply Interdiction?

(removing the battery)

He was having great difficulty. Well worth a look on IPlayer later on. About 40 minutes in.

there's a Mitchell and Webb sketch in there somewhere - Escape from Colditz... just past the kennels and the guardhouse... 'Nokia's Grand Valise...'

it's being discussed / pilloried over at ARRSE too

http://www.arrse.co.uk/Forums/viewtopic/t=129911.html

i'm amazed and reassured by the general tone over there, regarding ZanuLab - seems many in the Forces hate them too

elsewhere, there's some revealing comments about how we're all powerless in the face of the wanton scamming and risible leadership on the part of the government... comments wondering what it will take to get us Brits to do something about it

(i would also like to point out at this time that they're the ones with all the guns. just sayin'...)

It does seem like mobile etiquette hasn't really taken off amongst our elder generation. There was some middle-aged chap on the train the other day - in the quiet coach - using a phone that would beep every time he pressed a key. What an idiot.

Hmm. Does anyone else silence their phones for minute silences at sporting events?
