Newspaper Story Comments - Varying Responses

Recommended Posts

I see there is still nothing up for the Daily Mail Rosie Boycott story. Is the world to be denied my witty comment?

I have seen this before with the Mail, some stories they let loads of comments through, others - nothing.

The Sun (yes, I know but I like it) put them up straight away and I have seen variety in the "thisis" network of local papers with some letting everything through and then moderating, which means a debate can be had, and others holding them back for hours which makes them a bit pointless.

The Telegraph fortunately lets them through and they're often highly amusing before they are taken down. An oldie but a goodie today:

Advice on scams, Bangkok muggings etc.

Comments:

I had a similar experience, two girls lured me into a car and whilst one gave me oral sex, the other one stole my wallet. I lost 3 wallets this way last week and another two this week. Be warned!

Exactly the same scenario for me in Bangkok - the first day I spent in Thailand. The 'nurse' story and the mini-casino in the tiny house.

I'd just flown to Bangkok from Cairo and I had horrendous stomach problems. I left a massive 'deposit' in their downstairs loo, and the toilet didn't flush. Of course the house plumbing wasn't a priority for the card sharps.

They saw what I'd done to the toilet and got me out of the house fast ! So I was lucky.
