Joey Buttafueco Jr
I follow a buy and hold high yield portfolio. A number of constituents are reporting, and it is surprising how well they are doing (even if it is outperforming than low expectations). Note that doing better for me partly means raising or maintaining the divi - this is quite common with the £ being weak against dollar BP: Quarterly divi 20% up on last year Compass: Good revenue growth De La Rue: Dull, which is perfect GSK: Divi up 8% on last year National Grid: Divis increasing 8% pa Pearson: Divi up 3% United Utilities: Plan to increase divis 5% pa so not the disaster a number of us (myself included) were expecting. Joey Buttafueco Jr
P/L ok then ?What do the balance sheets look like ? Dreadful. I am having to console myself by listening to the following 1. She came on like the night and she held on tight And the world was right when she made love to me We were free She moved in like a friend , started loving me And I thought Id found my heaven in her arms But the morning when I woke up I was here and she was gone Now Im hanging on Maybe you can tell me how a love so right can turn out to be so wrong 2. You ask me where to begin Am I so lost in my sin You ask me where did I fall Ill say I cant tell you when But if my spirit is lost How will I find what is near Dont question Im not alone Somehow Ill find my way home My sun shall rise in the east So shall my heart be at peace And if youre asking me when Ill say it starts at the end You know your will to be free Is matched with love secretly And talk will alter your prayer Somehow youll find you are there. but not this I remember all my life Raining down as cold as ice A shadow of a man A face through a window Crying in the night The night goes into Morning, just another day Happy people pass my way Looking in their eyes I see a memory I never realized you made me so happy, oh Mandy
Joey Buttafueco Jr
Oh my God. What is this doing here? We might get found. What? The dodgy music? Can't beat it!! As an aside, apparently the FTSE had its best month for six years in July

You’re the one that I want, you’re the one, yes, you are. Chorus You dance to the music like nobody does. The first time I saw you, I knew it was love. You’re the one that I want, You’re the one, yes, you are. You’re the one that I want, You’re the one, yes, you are. Chorus 2x
