Do You Think Uk House Prices Are Good Value?

Recommended Posts

Hamish made an appearance. He thinks the market is only going to go up. I'd never have guessed it.

I'm actually questioning if it is the real Hamish we fondly know around here. It seems a poorly constructed argument which he normally doesn't seem to do.

If it is him then we are on the brink of a catastrophic collapse in prices. The arguments put forward are the same old stories not even moderately reworked ... lack of land, growing population blah blah blah. If that's the best being put forward and it doesn't even take on board the collapse of the financial markets, then I think UK PLC is about to collapse its housing market.

The comment about the prices rising and it being OK because the wife now works and didn't in the 1950's actually made a little bit of wee come out I was laughing that hard, but it was meant seriously.

You just aroused my curiosity, so I looked (already voted last week).

You're right: there's no way that's our Hamish. It's visibly a joe-job, from one of HPC's dumber members or followers. One could perhaps compare it to yesterday's silly-season story, but that would be to over-dignify it: at least the F4J one targeted someone real people care about.
