"The other key consideration is which market are we looking for the bottom of? The London or Edinburgh market? The market for 1930s homes? New builds? Listed buildings? A self build plot of land? The truth is there are thousands of different property markets and they will all 'bottom' out at different times over the coming year or two."

Oh really, you know this do you Sarah? I think you are just guessing/hoping?

I wouldn't be too hard on her.

OK, to some of us that looks optimistic but consider: Here is a property developer prepared to go on record with a prediction of up to 2 more years of falling prices.

Hardly VI spin.

Yep, round my way the market for flats has bottomed out @ £80,000 (not that they are selling!). However the price for a 2 bed semi is hovering around £125,000. When the semi drops to £80,000 what is going to happen to the price of the flats? <_<

Looking on rightmove you have the strange sight of a Park home, a holiday bungalow, a flat and a 2 bed cottage all for around £100,000.

The market, is broken!
