Guest anorthosite
When a tall, muscular man wields a two-foot-long knife on-camera, it's usually not for a thank-you video. But that's what California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has done on his Twitter account, where the Republican actor-turned-governor posted a video message thanking followers for their budget-balancing ideas as the state tries to fix a $26 billion deficit. Full story: Budget-cutting, Arnie-style: Governor armed with a two-foot knife thanks followers on Twitter video And what's with the chunky bit on his watch? Does it double as a gun or something?!? Mikhail Liebenstein
I've always rated Arnie as an actor. A lot of people would take the mick, but given the roles he has performed, I've always thought they were done somewhat tongue in cheek - almost like our own Roger Moore, though Roger Moore is the king of camp action movies. Yes the Austrian Cyborg does have a sense of humour and actually having someone with his strength of focus (he did need a lot as a body builder) is probably rather useful in what he is having to do right now. Definitely a vast improvement on previous Californian administrations.
