Bbc - 'i Would Pay £3,000 For A Big House'

Recommended Posts

Of particular interest:

Rep: Do you know an average house costs about £150,000?

GB: Now I know why my mum keeps on saying that we are poor!

Nailed it. One of the biggest problems in this country summed up perfectly in a single line from an 8 year-old.

Also, BBC articles aren't quite keeping up standards these days, I'm tempted to write in and complain about the lack of a black child next to the asian and indian kids. :P

It's somewhat reassurring that none of the kids answered "get money from the government" when asked what they'd do if they had a starving child.

One of the first things I read on the BBC website this morning.

Not wanting to turn this into an anti-boomer thread, but GB also said when asked about taxes.

GB: You pay something to the council or government and they give it to retired people.

As per the 'fat women thread' in Off-Topic

GB: I'd make sure I looked good so I could get a very rich husband who could pay for things.

Which anti-boomer HPC-er is going to confess to being her parent
