Occupation 101 - Get A Free House After Only 10 Years!

Recommended Posts

Concerned house prices will never drop? Well don't worry, watch this film...

Occupation 101

It explains how you can move into a house, complete with a swimming pool, in a Zionist Settlement in the West Bank, and if you stay 10 years or longer, you get your mortgage paid in totality, thanks to the ignorant US taxpayer.

Here's the rest of the film description:

A thought-provoking and powerful documentary film on the current and historical root causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Unlike any other film ever produced on the conflict -- 'Occupation 101' presents a comprehensive analysis of the facts and hidden truths surrounding the never ending controversy and dispels many of its long-perceived myths and misconceptions.

The film also details life under Israeli military rule, the role of the United States in the conflict, and the major obstacles that stand in the way of a lasting and viable peace. The roots of the conflict are explained through first-hand on-the-ground experiences from leading Middle East scholars, peace activists, journalists, religious leaders and humanitarian workers whose voices have too often been suppressed in American media outlets.

The film covers a wide range of topics -- which include -- the first wave of Jewish immigration from Europe in the 1880's, the 1920 tensions, the 1948 war, the 1967 war, the first Intifada of 1987, the Oslo Peace Process, Settlement expansion, the role of the United States Government, the second Intifada of 2000, the separation barrier and the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, as well as many heart wrenching testimonials from victims of this tragedy.

I thoroughly recommend you watch this academy award winning documentary, it will open your eyes to the lies you are told every day by the mainstream media about the situation in the Middle East.

Thank, General. I will be taking a look at this one.

Official website is:

http://www.occupation101.com/

I'll admit I didn't buy the DVD, but downloaded it on torrent through Pirate Bay, seems it's very popular (which is nice), was listed third in the torrent download search engine I found it on, just below the new Terminator movie, so perhaps the world is finally sitting up and listening.

Personally I don't think the producers were out to make a huge profit, their aim is to spread the word about the appalling humanitarian disaster in Palestine, so I don't feel too guilty for downloading it.

Perhaps I shouldn't have shown it to the missus though. I was already very familiar with the situation over there, having read relevant books by the likes of Chomsky and Finkelstein, so no big surprises for me. But she wasn't so clued up, thanks to non-reporting of history and events over there by the mainstream-media. Well, she blew her top when she found out what's been going on for all these years, there was a lot of very angry swearing I can tell you!

From a few days ago...

U.K. upholds ban on 'misleading' Israel tourism ad

A British advertising watchdog says a tourism poster cannot be displayed because it suggests the West Bank and Gaza Strip are part of Israel.

The Advertising Standards Authority on Wednesday upheld complaints about the ad produced by the Israeli Government Tourist Office and displayed in London subway stations.

It featured a map of the country that included the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and Gaza, as well as the Golan Heights, seized by Israel in 1967.

The watchdog says the ad was misleading because it "implied that those territories were part of the state of Israel."

Israel's tourism ministry says the map was intended to depict areas in and around Israel, not send a political message.

The ASA upheld the ban despite the map's delineation of the Palestinian territories.

"We noted that the map showed border lines for the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, but we also noted that those border lines were faintly produced and difficult to distinguish on the map itself," the ASA said.

"We understood that the borders and status of the occupied territories of the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and the Golan Heights were the subject of much international dispute, and because we considered that the ad implied that those territories were part of the state of Israel, we concluded that the ad was misleading," according to the ASA's Web site.

Just found the movie on google for free, it's a bit low res, but it's free and let's face it, you're not going to be watching it for it's amazing special effects. Plus there is the advantage that the brutalised and lifeless faces of the Palestinian children will be harder to make out in this version, so it won't be so traumatic for squeamish viewers:

Is there a subtitled version? That narrator has the most unengaging voice ive ever heard, almost sleep inducing.

Fair point, I hadn't noticed the first time round as the subject matter was so engaging, but having listened to her again she is on the monotone side.

I imagine the original DVD is subtitled, but that means shelling out hard cash. Still very much worth a watch though, it's a real eye opener. And besides, there's plenty of interviews to break her narration up, so it's not a big deal.

Just thought I'd bump this back into the live threads, I feel it's important, if a little off topic. Still it's all tied into the current socio-economic world we live in, so has relevance.

Your thread has a 50/50 chance of staying...there's not much rhyme or reason to the Mods' decision making this afternoon.

Well i watched it, luckily most of the talking seems to be from other people except in the begininng. Interesting that some think its a worse state of affairs than South Africa was. Im interested to know, if as is suggested, jews, muslims and christians really did get on before the zionists took over. Obviously the documentarys been made a certain way, and i have my doubts, although there does seem a huge difference in the Muslim world between places like Syria, Jordan, Turkey, and to a certain extent Iraq and Iran which seem relatively progressive (in some ways more secular than here, banning hijabs and stuff) and deepest darkest Asia, ie Afganistan, Pakistan, where it seems the culture is still in the dark ages.

Good find General Congreve. I also recommend "Waltz with Bashir" if you are interested in this topic - available on torrent and hardcoded with english sub's. ;)

No comment on the right and wrong, but this seems like a rather extreme route to cheap housing to me...personally I find the chavs knuckle dragging past the end of my drive on a Saturday night scary enough, Palestinians with rocket launchers are way more frightening.

I think they probably all got on well enough, after all, in the 1880's Jews only made up 3% of the population of Palestine, the Muslims could have happily driven them away if they'd been as extreme and hateful as we've been led to believe.

Not to mention the biggest population of Jews (roughly 25,000 - 35,000) outside in the Middle East live in IRAN. They seem to get on pretty well there, 99% of them even refused substantial bribe money from the Israeli government (courtesy of the US taxpayer again) to relocate to Israel recently. Basically to help Israel bolster its West Bank settlements and leave the ground Jew free in Iran for any bombing they fancy doing.

Most of this Jew/Muslim hatred stuff is hyped. Any hatred that does exist is solely down to the injustices of the Israeli conquest and occupation in Palestine and the animosity that stems from it - Terrorism: Made in Israel and USA.

thx for the reply. I suppose small numbers of jews have been ran out of many countries prior to 1900, so even if they didnt get on i probably shouldnt read into it too much.
