I just can't wait, we so need a change of government. Until we take our medicine, we aren't going to be cured.

Isn't he talking about the general election campaign probably being in April - the election would be in May (same date as the London borough and other local elections).

Combining the locals with the general might help Labour take some boroughs back in London - thus allowing them to give Boris more of a hard time.

Yeah, I'm really torn between voting Tory to get Labour OUT- (well actually its BROWN I want gone more than anything) but then there is the danger of Tory getting in, which as someone jsut said- another 5 years of the same.

UKIP- thats a good place to put my X, but its taking a vote away from Tory- see first rider.

Iam considering NOT VOTING for the first time ever, safe in the knowledge that at Least labour WON'T get it.

We are having a general election in May, right? GB can't stop that can he?

Technically he can hang on for 3 more years after the parliamentary term expires. I think Liz would tell him to eff off if he tried that though.

By the looks of it you live in Letchworth which is in the North East Herts Constituency. The Tories won there by 10,000 votes in 2005.

So vote with your conscience - it won't make any difference though as the Tories will win your seat easily. Sadly under our electoral system your votes (and those of many millions in safe seats) don't count and won't make a difference. Move to Stevenage - that's a marginal!

I'll be voting green, once again.

Stuff tactical voting, just pick the party you like the most. It makes bugger all difference anyway, so trying to be clever about it matters little.

quelle surprise. :o

Given their propensity to drag things out and write everything out in triplicate, they'd better bloody hurry up!!

it's quite simple.....walk to buckingham palace(should take all of about 15 minutes)....and ask the queen for an immediate dissolution of parliament.

then get a cab to BBC television centre( will probably cost about a tenner....I'm OK with that going on expenses),and then tell the country what you've done, and that we're going to the polls this time next month.

he's the bloody prime minister......the buck is supposed to stop with him,and sometimes will be required to act decisively.

so now he'd better get his skates on and stop dithering because people are getting really fed up with this pantomime.

April is about 6 months too late.

Why not, it's the perfect time for it.

The economy is booming, and we've just finished two successful military campaigns.

Can't lose.
