Allied Carpets In Administration

Recommended Posts

Sorry for the workers but thank God, an end to those relentless carpet ads.

Its madness, its carpets, its carpets, its madness, its carpet madness.

What was that again, oh recovery by end of year, you don't say, really, hmm, have to sleep on that one......

The government will just sweep this one under the rug.

Tell me about it. I can't hear the phrase 'Allied Carpets' without then hearing 'Doncaster, Wetherby, Thorpe Arch and Hull' in my head afterwards (from their incessant ads in local radio in the 70s & 80s).

Is this the recession or has the trend for stripped pine flooring been their undoing?

I have a nephew who's been laying laminate floors almost 24/7 for the last five years.

Can't believe there's a square inch of carpet left around here.

For those of you thinking about those green shoots, it's really pulled the rug out from under your feet.
