Political Compass

Recommended Posts

I post on powerswitch.org.uk. Almost every person on that board came out as left/libertarian. I'd be interested to see what sort of results we get here:

http://www.politicalcompass.org/index

Economic Left/Right: 1.25

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.38

so prety mch centrist on both - leaning towards right/libertarian, halfway between Friedman and Gandhi...!

a little surprised actually...

funny how in terms of curent [politicians, none are cited in ths area - right wing, but libertarian. right wing and authoritarian is very popular however. hope this changes.

This has been brought up at least twice in the last week or two.

I'm a screaming leftie BTW.

I could not even answer the first question.

If economic globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations.

Its not an either/or question. The assumption in the question is totally wrong headed.

I'm a lefty libertarian too.

Economic Left/Right: -5.62

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.36

Pretty easy to see which way you needed to answer to confirm any bias.

You'd obviously have to be a quite sexually repressed, uptight, religious, conventionally moralistic kind of person who automatically believed that all business organisations could do no wrong to go into the Authoritarian/ right schema.

That covers 90% of the USA then.

Quite, this poll was produced by a left who thinks right=evil.

Most questions are totality skewed.

Most of the comments here are answered in the FAQ there.

Of course there are any number of two, three or multiaxis ways of measuring this so take your pick...
