Goldman Sachs Pays Back Tarp And Earns Billions

Recommended Posts

how do they do it.

survived very well throught the crisis yet still needed a bailout.

gets huge returns now from where?

is this a return to Enronomics.....booking future profits against todays actuality?....for bonus purposes.

and how much of their client base is supported with TARP, which GS are now sucking into themselves.

And is Madoff alive and well in spirit at GS? people placing their faith in one financial making money above all others is absolutely ripe for such a fraud.

TFH for the day.

Are they simply being paid out by AIG* for as the counterparty of all the CDSs they took out?

* no longer AIG, but the Fed printing money

well the figures are adding up from somewhere?

stock market...flat...they could be lucky with the fluctuations.

mortgage arrears and foreclosures increasing....maybe they have no exposure.

house prices still falling....maybe they have no or few MBS assets.

CDS.....looks like a possible candidate.

M and A.....little activity.

its hard to see or envisage the reasons for the success...in a logical way. need more facts.

I'm fairly sure that's what has happened.

If you know who is going bust and more importantly know who will be saved, making money should be very, very easy.

sounds like confidential info, such as back door injections from the fed, is being used. How else could they know?
