Darling Is 'impotent' And Brown 'speaking Lies'

Recommended Posts

Telegraph

I did a video for ITV local in April 2007 about the future of finance and it is quite interesting to see how things have gone since then. There were various aspects of Alistair Darling's chart at the time combining to make him impotent and I said Gordon Brown was going on the defensive and would be perceived to be speaking lies.

I said Brown had an aspect that was very Joseph Stalin and a few weeks later someone in the Labour Party said he was like Stalin. In his chart more recently I have been noticing that if he doesn't like what someone tells him he basically makes it up because he's panicking. As people lose power they panic and grasp at straws.

I said we will not get out of this until July 2010. There may be optimistic notes sounded as Saturn enters Libra from October 2009 to the New Year, but then it will all go horrid again. It won't be until July 2010 that we will actually see any hope.

As good a way of predicting where the economy's going to go as any, I guess...

Fat astronomer in 'things likely to change after last possible date for next general election, involving a third term, historically unpopular government' shock.

Blow me down with a feather, the man clearly has 'the gift'.

Oh dear I hope Mr Grant isn't right, this sounds like the market continues to bounce this summer, followed by a whole load more QE and talk that property will be back up to 2007 values (if they ever come down), by the summer of 2010, by which time we have a conservative governement and we all live happily ever after. The horrid bit being like Q1 2009 with property not selling but EVERYONE waiting for the bounce again in the summer.

Never particularly liked Mr Grant's forecasting ................but then again he is not far wrong for TODAY....nobody can understand by Q's or answers on HPC, and Hamish was very difficult to deal with ...........

CANCER - June 21st - July 23rd

You can't be specific about answers you give today if you don't know all the details. People are asking too much from you and they don't seem to get the point. Emotionally charged situations seem to be the most difficult ones to deal with, as angry, hurt or sad people want answers. You understand where they are coming from and what they are saying but you can't tell them what they want to hear. Lying, even if to comfort someone, is not an option.

I thought he came across quite well in that interview - especially for some-one whole believes in astronomy

Ironically, astronomy does quite well at predicting the future - eclipses spring to mind ;)

As J. K. Galbraith said: "The only function of economic forecasting is to make astrology look respectable."

Give the guy a break

He makes a good living out of fooling the gullible and sounding plausible so, although he may know very little about economics, he knows a great deal about the modus operandi of politicians - especially a fellow snake-oil salesman like Brown.
