The Ills Of Modern Britain Summed Up In Comedy Sketch Format

Recommended Posts

Very relevant, as were a host of similar ones (eg loadsamoney).

Problem is we still fell for it all (the bubble, the ramping etc), and even if you think you didn't I bet you very probably did in some teeny weeny way (you ...don't want to admit it do you).

['you' meaning anyone reading this post, not the original poster]

I remember being told in 1994 that you would never make money on property, it was all gone, just buy a house you like.

Will we ever learn? Probably not. Are these cycles inevitable?

shoot forward to 2010...

Excuse me sport, but I couldn't help noticing that you appear to be considerably more in debt than myself.

They saw you coming.

I saw a doc about Summerhill school where the kids get to set the rules and it cycles. They have it nice and orderly so everyone gets some regular quiet time to do their studies etc. and when the critical mass shifts towards the kids that haven't experienced rule free, it goes rule free. Then all the problems of being rule free surface and slowly but surely rules start coming back.
