Aka financial f*ckwit hour.

Caller examples:

"I owe £175K, am in NE and earn £25K, I've offered my ex-partner 50% of the original deposit but he wants more - any tips?"

"We want a low interest 5 year fix but have less than 5% equity, neither our existing lender or other lenders are interested. Where will we get our fix?"

Lots of people in dire straits clinging on. Not long lads and lasses. You will get your long awaiting 'next leg down' before too long.

There are always two things that amaze me from these kind of programmes (maybe the producers select them that way for effect)... 1/ How enormous some peoples debts and problems are compared to their income 2/ How little many of the callers seem to know about the basics of the financial system or the financial products they have.

It's always difficult to extrapolate from these types of programmes that there are huge probs out there, but if they are the north east being in the cancer swathe with bad debt penetrations of a little over 20% of the population might be one area that could be hard hit.

Did you hear any Scottish male - (we've been lead to believe) - voices sounding over-enthusiastic?
