Use Your Soul As Collateral

Recommended Posts

A lender in Latvia is accepting souls as collateral for loans.

Presumably there is a credit check to make sure that your soul hasn't already got a charge on it from another financial institution or some evil spiritual entity. The would have to make sure you are not an atheist either.

Girlfriend is from Latvia, she is there at the moment visiting family, she says thigs are terrible there, two of her three brothers have no work, and also most of her friends, she owns an apartment which she had been renting out, the guy who was renting it is now out of work and there is no one who is in a position to be able to rent it, she wanted to sell it but same story.

but property there has taken a huge hit with nothing selling.

Wondering whether to buy a house there when prices really hit rock bottom

What makes you think it is going to get better, the only plac in E.E with potential is poland, only because the poles are willing to get there hands dirty and work very very very hard.

Latvia's problem is the currency peg.

It's too expensive for exports or for tourism.

Devaluation is on the cards, though. You should probably wait to see if that happens.
