Dow To Go Below 4,000 Within 12 Months

Recommended Posts

It is in India Daily so must be true. Succinct and to the point. Makes a refreshing change from all those wedges, blips and graphs on Market Oracle.

The secular bear market in US intact and gaining intensity. The next wave down has already started and is ready to take Dow below 4,000 level within next twelve months.

The stimulus money is getting used in sectors where very little impact is felt on the economy.

The biggest problem is still the severe depression in US home market. 60% of non-prime mortgages are about to enter the default zones. There will be no one to bid in the foreclosure markets.

Hang on, Bill Bonner is talking about the DOW at 4,000 also. Hmm, where is all this coming from?

I hope you're right.

Being mostly in cash I would consider it an excellent buying opportunity.

Problem is, if I'm thinking like that, so too are a lot of other people :(

I take it back i didn't quite know what i was dealing with before i posted, to quote an article by their technology team

Reverse engineering technologies of advanced extraterrestrial civilizations in the dark matter universe

Scientists are intrigued with the advanced extraterrestrial civilizations in the dark matter universe. The evidence of extraterrestrial civilizations is real. These are graviton based very advanced extraterrestrial civilizations in the dark matter universe.

That said it still puts some of our tabloids to shame.

Thats a pretty huge fall !.... personally I would be surprises if these indecies reach new lows at all... they will wobble around but I suspect that the lows have been and gone..... I shall feel pained if I'm wrong as I have been and continue to buy regularly.

It doesn't .

It really only suggests things are getting a bit worse.

It could be an indicator of depression for those who believe unemployment to be a leading indicator in a credit-driven collapse?

In 12 months i think it will be above 9,000 but certainly below 4,000 within 24 months and below 2000 within 36 months

Haven't you got that the wrong way round? Is your Elliot Wave graph upside down?

I think the red downside to your graph is correct but IMPO it will happen within 6 to 8 months. Probably this Autumn IMPO.

I hope the bottom arrives soon. All this waiting is really pi$$ing me off.

All I want to do is buy thousands of shares very cheaply and hold for decades.

When can I do this??

If this happens I think buying shares will be the least of your worries.

The problem is debt. It built up over a quarter of a century to levels that even President Obama says are "unsustainable." People have too much debt - student debt, credit card debt, private equity debt, mortgage debt, and every other kind of debt you can imagine. As long as the economy is expanding...and the credit markets are offering more debt...the problem is not critical. One debt is paid by taking on another, greater, debt. Houses are refinanced, for example, at higher prices...but lower interest rates.

Sums up the insanity perfectly, there has been no plan to pay down the debt, just keep piling it up.
